Course Overview
To develop knowledge and understanding of team building as required by a practicing or potential first line manager :

• Understand how to develop and maintain trust at work
• Know how to build the team

 

Assessment Criteria

• Explain behaviors which could develop and maintain trust at work
• Explain why confidentiality is important in building and maintaining trust in the team
• Give one example of a group and one example of a team within the workplace. Justify the classification of examples given
• Briefly describe the stages of an established model of group formation
• Explain how a manager could benefit from knowing team members’ preferred team roles
